Blechschmidt Collection Embryo

Each embryo slide box set includes a catalogue slide (lower righthand corner) providing:
- date and embryo size - 19.6.47, 14 mm CRL
- description of fixative - Bouin
- mountant - Paraffin
- section thickness - 10 μ (μ, micrometre, microns, 1x10-6)
- histological stain - decalcified Eosin-Gold orange
- number of slides - 51
Note also the larger size of these historic slides, requiring the use of special slide holders in the digital scanner.
